Will this lift my truck?
No. This is load support, not a lift kit. With the bed empty your ride height stays factory. When you add weight, the springs hold the rear up so the truck stays level instead of squatting.
Will my truck ride stiff when it's empty?
No. The springs sit above the axle with a 1/2"–1-1/2" gap when the truck is empty, so they stay clear on everyday driving and only start working as weight comes on. The more you load, the more support they give.
Does it increase my towing or payload capacity?
No. It adds rear support so the truck stays level and controlled under load, but it does not change your GVWR, payload, or tow rating. The 8,600 lb figure is the compression capacity of the springs themselves. Always stay within your truck's factory ratings.
Will it fit my truck?
It fits 1999–2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, 2WD and 4WD. It does not fit 2500HD or 3500HD models. Not sure? Message us your truck's year, model, and drive type before you order.
What's included in the kit?
One pair of heavy duty rubber helper springs (left and right), each with its steel top disc, plus the mounting hardware needed for install.
How hard is it to install?
Most installs take about 15 minutes with basic tools: a jack, jack stands, and a 10 mm socket on 2007 & newer trucks. The springs bolt into the existing bracket, and the steps are listed above and in the Installation Instructions PDF. If you're not comfortable working under your truck, we recommend having a shop install it.
Do I need to install both sides?
Yes. The kit comes as a pair, and both sides need to be installed so the axle is supported evenly. Running only one side will leave the rear unbalanced.
How is this different from my factory bump stops?
Factory bump stops only keep the axle from hitting the frame at the very end of travel. These helper springs start working much earlier and build support progressively, so the rear stays up under load instead of sagging onto the stops.
Is there any maintenance?
None. There's no compressor, no air lines, and no pressure to check. Just re-check that the mounting bolts are tight after the first 50 miles.
Will it work on a lifted or lowered truck?
It's made for trucks on the factory rear leaf springs. If the rear has been lifted, lowered, converted to air bags, or the bump stop bracket has been moved, message us before ordering, because the gap to the axle will be different.
